Labor and employment laws give structure to the workplace, define what employees and employers are responsible for and give both parties the necessary direction for resolving workplace conflict. Cambodian labor law is primarily designed to keep workers in Cambodia safe and make sure they are treated fairly, although laws are in place to protect employers’ interests as well. By this, HR personnel at all levels should have a clear understanding of such law to avoid any employers or employees’ misconduct or irresponsibility.
